The first time I heard Lori McKenna sing was on a duet with Eric Gerber. The song was called " Boston By Friday". I was mezmerized by her voice and the lyrics in the song. I spent almost a year trying to track down how to find the CD it was recorded on.
I finally got the CD from the guy who owned the recording studio in Sudbury where it was recorded. I bought 5 copies and turned on some close friends. Those 5 and many more of my friends are now rabid Lori McKenna fans.I saw her 4 times last year and one time I brought 10 people to see her.
I'm really glad she's gaining some commercial sucess, But I don't think I'd go to see her at a large venue like the Fleet Center.
I'd much rather see her in small places where it seems much more personal.I didn't like Bitter Town for about a year, but then it really started to grow on me. I like 4 of the songs off the new CD a lot. "Your Next Lover" being my favorite, follwed by " I'm Not Crazy". I was really disappointed to find that " Make Every Word Hurt" didn't get on the CD. I don't know if Lori sees these blogs, but I'd really like to know if she plans on recording that song. I was all set to make that my new favorite.
Thrilled, but disappointed

I have the CD. I tracked down the producer in Sudbury and actually went to his house and he sold me a couple of copies. It's actually an album by a guy named Eric Gerber. I'd be wiiling to make a copy of the CD for you. Contact me at jwlkr25@comcast.net

Do you have any idea where
Do you have any idea where to get "Boston By Friday"? I checked everywhere I could think of but I couldn't even find a website where I could listen to it for free or something. I would be happy to buy the whole CD if that's the only way...I'm a really big fan of Lori and I thought I'd heard most of her stuff but I haven't heard this song so any help would be appriciated.
Thanks in advance
