Happy New Year everyone! Can you believe it's 2008? We had a wonderful Holiday season here at the McKenna house. I will admit to being VERY behind in my shopping this year (I actually wrapped my last two gifts this morning). But for good reason, I think, as I spent 4 nights and 6 sold-out shows at Club Passim in Cambridge, Massachusetts my musical home away from home. I have to thank Matt Smith and everyone at the club for making these home-town shows possible. We had such a great time and it was the best way to end an amazing year. My band and I (along with friends Jake Armerding, Caitlyn Rose and Zach Hickman) got to play for 6 incredible audiences in that legendary club. Eighteen inches of snow did not stop all those folks from coming out and spending the 4 nights with us. This is why I love Boston; we don't let a little snow get in the way of our music.
Looking back, 2007 could not have been better (personally I mean, the world is another story). You can measure success a million different ways but really at the end of the day if you are happy - you are successful. I am happy. Don't worry the songs won't change much those desperate laments of life-gone-tough are always going to wake me up when I should be sleeping.
Actually, it's my three year old that wakes me up. He likes to pull my hair in his sleep. But I am as smart as a sleep-deprived mother of five can be, and I have learned to put my hair in a pony-tale and wear a hood to bed. I'm serious.
I wish you all success in 2008 and by that I mean happiness. xo.lm

does anybody know how to locate setlists for lori's shows. I went to a 10 p.m. show on december 21st @ club passim and was wondering what a couple of the songs i didn't recognize were.
Can't wait to see you!
Happy New Year! Lori, I first saw you on Oprah and this past summer saw you in Philly as part of the Soul2Soul concert.
I bought your brown tee shirt at that concert and more and more people will know your name (it's also really soft)!
I will get to you see you perform at the Rams Head Tavern on January 22, 2008 - I'm so excited because you haven't been this close before!
My name is Lisa and I hope I can say hi and that I love your talent and your journey to where you are today. (I don't want to gush on and on, I'd just really like to meet you).
I believe you about the ponytail and the hood - I've been through that. But I've only done it twice - you are the expert with 5! Mine are 15 and 19 now - time flies.
Can't wait till the 22nd!
