Hi everybody, I hope this finds you well. I'm just back from a 5-day tour
with my band. Tackling Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York and
Connecticut; we got to play great rooms for great crowds every night. It's
crazy to show up in a city I've never been and play for a sold out room. The
beautiful Allen Room at Lincoln Center was unlike any stage I have ever had
the honor to sing on. With it's enormous glass wall it felt as if we spent a
New York City gig night suspended over Columbus Square. My band mates and
I were blown away. It was so surreal to turn around and see a winter moon
over Central Park just behind my drummer John's head. We also had shows in
Wolfeboro, NH and Northampton, MA this month. The Wolfeboro show was played
in a packed barn on the grounds of a pig farm where 250 people line up for a
pot luck dinner and purchase fresh farm eggs on there way out. Can't beat
that.
February is packed with some trio shows (myself, Mark Erelli, and Russell
Chudnofsky) a stop in at the Bluebird Café in Nashville and then some dates
supporting Trisha Yearwood through March. Usually February seems like the
longest month of the year up here in the Northeast but I'm guessing this
one might fly by.
For all you Patriots fans out there I have to promise you that I will NOT
be in front of the TV this Sunday. My husband has decided that the Patriots
get into trouble every time I get near the TV during the game. It's best
for me to interpret what's going on during the game through the cheers I
hear from my sons and husband in the living room. Maybe I'll hang out in my
office and write a song or color with my daughter in the playroom. Even
better, we can all write a song together. We now have a complete kids
studio set up in the basement drum kit and all. I have to thank the
wonderful folks at FIRST ACT STUDIOS for helping me with this. There's
nothing better than watching kids make their own music. Although, I don't
know if my neighbors feel the same way. I predict that the Patriots win by
3 points and that I get kicked out of my neighborhood by spring.
Be well.lm

I have to say, your performance in the Allen Room was one of the most amazing shows I've ever been to! After we left, the only word we could find to aptly describe it was...MAGICAL! Thanks for such a wonderful evening! And getting to talk to you a bit after the show was the perfect ending to the evening! Thanks so much...what a memorable night!
